India Partner Network (IPN) is launching assessments to help nonprofits assess their maturity across key Organisation Development (OD) areas. These self-diagnostic tools will enable nonprofits assess their current state, identify areas of improvement, receive targeted capability-building recommendations and initiate their growth journey.

Brief about assessment: What to expect?

This assessment is centered on one of the key Organisational Development (OD) areas: Marketing and Communications. It consists of five sections:

Team & Purpose
Content Strategy
Content Collection
Digital Engagement
Donor Communications

Each section contains 5 to 6 questions, featuring dropdown options for easy selection. The assessment is designed to be completed in about 10 to 15 minutes.

Upon completion, your organisation will receive:

A maturity rating, both at the overall OD level and for each individual section.
Tailored learning recommendations to help you improve your maturity level.

Who is this assessment for?

The assessments diagnose the maturity of the organisation, not the individual. Hence they must ideally be taken by the person responsible for managing the functional or organizational development (OD) area within your organization.

In this case, it should be the person accountable for (or managing) marketing and communications in your organisation. This could be a founder or any senior member of the team. The assumption is that this individual is best placed to answer the assessment questions as accurately as possible from an organisational perspective.

If no such person exists in the organisation, we recommend that a senior leader from the programs team or a decision-maker take this assessment.

Why should you take the assessment?

Your organisation can benefit from assessments in the following ways:

Understand your organisation’s current maturity level and identify improvement areas.
Discover and access relevant capability-building recommendations – on or beyond IPN – based on the assessment ratings.
Identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.

Assessments are a great way to start (or structure) your organisation’s capacity building journey. IPN assessments will guide you through the initial steps and recommend relevant capacity building options tailored to your organisation.

NOTE: Your organisation's ratings will NOT be shared with any third party. The only purpose of these ratings is to provide your organisation with capacity-building recommendations.
