Expression of Interest: Understand your Data Readiness

How would you assess your organisation’s current level of data readiness?

Do you know what kind of data insights would most benefit your organisation’s mission?

This Data Readiness Assessment conducted by ISDM seeks to build a deeper understanding of the current state of data readiness among Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs) encompassing an organization's knowledge, capabilities, and willingness regarding data use. The endeavor also aims to understand the underlying reasons and barriers (if any) that hinder SPOs from scientifically using data to drive strategies, operations, and impact. You are invited to collaborate with ISDM and contribute to the report on the state of data maturity in the sector.

Who is the target audience/who is it relevant for?

SPO’s (registered as society, trust, section – 8 company or a voluntary organisation) implementing organizations. Please note that there is no specific criteria for minimum annual expenditure for SPOs.

Key outcomes/takeaways 

1. Understand your organisation’s data readiness through a customised report. This can help you leverage solutions & resources for planning, prioritising and strengthening your internal data use.

2. Benchmark and evaluate your data maturity instantly using the free ‘Data Maturity Assessment Toolkit’. 

3. A comprehensive report on the state of Data maturity in the sector. This will contribute to sectoral insights that can be shared with funders, ecosystem enablers, and implementers to redirect efforts to address data usage gaps through funding, capacity building, and consulting. 

4. Get invited to an invite-only Masterclass series and exclusive workshops by eminent data experts.

Selection criteria / process

1. SPOs fill in the form to enroll for participation.

2. An enumerator will schedule a time/date for the final survey while also ensuring understanding of & interest in the survey. 

Assessment process and timelines 

1. Typically, this interview lasts 30-45 minutes. 

2. The survey questions pertain to knowledge and understanding of data usage in organisations.

3. The respondent may be a senior management team member, program head or anyone in the organisation actively utilizing data as an end user.

4. The survey will commence in the second week of June and continue until the second week of August.
