The statutory and other requirements mandated by CSR policy on NGOs involves adherence to legal obligations set forth by governmental regulations. NGOs receiving CSR funds must ensure compliance with these requirements, which may include reporting, transparency, and accountability standards. Failure to meet these obligations can result in legal repercussions and loss of funding, highlighting the importance of understanding and adhering to statutory requirements for NGOs engaging with CSR initiatives.

This resource addresses some of the common challenges and queries faced by social purpose organisations in meeting statutory compliances and other CSR requirements in light of the CSR Policy Amendment Rules, 2021.

Note: The FAQ was consolidated based on the questions raised by non-profits during a webinar hosted by Sattva Consulting, along with an expert panel, to reflect upon the overall compliance level of non-profits with the new rules and their institutional readiness to receive CSR funds from the corporates.
